Mark grew up in a family of builders and has been involved in the construction business since a young age. At sixteen, he began tarring foundations and cleaning sites and eventually ran the construction department for his father’s building and development company in Connecticut. He helped grow the family’s company into one of the largest in the area, specializing in custom home building and commercial real estate development.
Mark moved his family to Longboat Key in the early 1990s, where he served as Vice President of Construction for a local builder. After gaining over 20 years of construction experience, Mark founded Brista Homes in 2000. Having built over hundreds of homes throughout Longboat Key, Sarasota and its barrier islands, Brista Homes has become one of the premier builders and remodelers in the area. With astute business acumen, a detailed oriented-approach, and intimate knowledge of the local area, Mark provides his clients with superior service that is second to none.

As Finance Manager, he develops financial strategies and forecasts to support the company's goals and provides strategic oversight to maintain fiscal stability and support business growth. Doug also oversees key financial operations, including job costing, payroll, accounts payable, project tracking, and tax preparation.
